Annual Diocesan Appeal:
One in Hope, One in Mission

Commitment Weekend # 3 – March
11 & 12, 2023

In the Letter to the Romans this weekend, we
are reminded that “hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured into
our hearts”. How blessed we are to be en-
dowed with God’s ever-present love. Even
more so, how incredibly blessed we are to
bring that love to others – a love which pro-
vides great hope. Our Annual Diocesan Ap-
peal serves to do just that. With the theme
“One in Hope, One in Mission”, we are invit-
ed to recognize our own blessings, and then
share a portion of those blessings to provide
hope to those in need and to extend the mis-
sion of the Church for all. Thank you to every-
one who has already made a prayerful re-
sponse to the Annual Appeal. Our parish is
working to raise [$39,800] toward the total
goal of $4,000,000. If you have not yet done
so, please consider making your response this
week. Materials can be found in the Church or
by visiting www.doy.org and clicking on the
Appeal button. Beginning next week, we will
be providing an update of how our parish fami-
ly is responding to the Appeal. On behalf of
Bishop Bonnar, and all who will be ministered
to by your generosity – thank you. Our prayer
during this Lenten season, and through the
work of the Appeal, is “That all may be one!”
