Dear Parishioners, I cannot believe we are almost at the end of August!! Soon our students will be returning to school and college. The one thing I really look forward to when summer comes to an end, is football!! So I know that the Steelers, Notre Dame, Springfield, and Poland will win and be champions!! Let’s also look forward during the change of season to the cool, crisp fall air and hopefully, the beautiful colors of our trees.

My good friend, Fr. John Trimbur, is in need of our prayers. He has some health issues although serious, they are treatable. So please keep Fr. Trimbur in your prayers that God continue to bless him with Jesus’ healing, strength, and courage.

Also I want to thank Jill and Rick Molnar at Molnar Farms. This past Saturday our Knights of Columbus hosted Our Annual Corn Roast. We had a beautiful evening feasting on delicious Molnar’s corn, hot dogs on the grille, Dave Keeble’s wonderful baked beans with bacon, and deserts. Thank you to the Molnar’s for their generosity of donating all of the corn! Any time we have a need for something, the Molnar family is so generous!!

I also want to thank the Knights of Columbus and all they do for our parish, community, and beyond. Our Knights our wonderful and do so much for us as a parish and the New Middletown community. But I really want to highlight and thank them for their commitment to their Catholic faith and praying for us as priests and praying for an increase of vocations to the Priesthood, deaconate, and lay ecclesial ministries. These men are great examples of living their faith and giving back to the community. They need new members to help them to continue the legacy of Fr. Michael McGiviny and the mission of the Knights of Columbus.

I hope all of our students have a great and safe year of school, and that we may enjoy a wonderful Autumn season!! Love and prayers always, ~~Fr. Steve
