Well here we go Fall, you’re up! It’s hard to believe that we are almost to October! What a year it has been. With election season in full affect, I fear the crazy has yet to even begin. Let us remember, first and foremost, that we are ALL children of God. It’s ok to disagree, but it is never ok to character assassinate someone. Remember as Catholics we must protect human dignity at all costs, and we cannot let such petty things as politics keep us from loving our neighbors. We are all created in the likeness and image of God, therefore, we must always protect this likeness and image. For it is the image of God, our Heavenly Father. Never forget we are to love at all costs because it is only love that comes from God. Be good to each other, we are all that we have at the end of the day!

This weekend’s Gospel reading is so very powerful. Jesus calls out the so-called “religious people“ for not having faith in what John the Baptist was preaching. John had converted the most severe of sinners, prostitutes, and tax collectors, yet the so-called religious people refused to believe. To truly believe we must be able to see Christ in everyone and everything. We must always remember He came to redeem the world for everyone! He loves each and every single one of us no matter where we come from, or where we have been. We cannot forget that even when things are at their worst, God is there to help us be our best! We have to accept this help however because He loves us so much He gives us the choice. Jesus wants us to have faith and hope in His Good News. He wants us to realize that God is love and that when we allow the Father’s will for our lives, we will feel that love. Our challenge for the week is to sit in silence for 3 minutes a day and ask God to come into our hearts and souls. To heal us of all our anxieties and fears, and to bring us into a fuller union with Him, His Son, and His Holy Spirit! Have a faith-filled week everyone!!!
