Happy Advent! We are quickly approaching Christmas. And who better than Mother Teresa to give us words of wisdom in preparing for that season of LOVE. Let us take some time to reflect on her advice this week.

“What we need is to love without getting tired. How does a lamp burn? Through the continued input of small drops of oil. What are these drops of oil in our lamps? They are the small things of daily life: faithfulness, small words of kindness, a thought for others, our way of being silent, of looking, of speaking, and of acting. Do not look for Jesus away from yourselves. He is not out there; He is in you. Keep your lamp burning, and you will recognize Him.”

I guess it’s not so difficult after all–or is it? I challenge each of us this week to do our best to keep our lamp burning. If we fall and our lamp goes out, just stop for a moment, refuel, forgive yourself, and start over.

Let your light shine! Find the Jesus within you!

Have a blessed week!
