This past Sunday we heard from the Gospel of Luke about the ten lepers asking to be cured and they are healed. Only one returns to give thanks and praise to God, and Jesus says ten were cleansed, where are the other nine? I asked myself am I going to be one of the nine who didn’t return or the one who did. In my meditation book Twenty-Four Hours a Day from Saturday October 12, it states: Try to be thank-ful for whatever vision you have. Try to perform, in little things, faithful service to God and oth-ers. Do your small part every day in the spirit of service to God. Be a doer of God’s word, not a hearer or listener only. In your daily life try to keep faith with God. Every day brings a new opportunity to be of some use. Even when you are tempted to rest or let things go or to evade the issue, make it a habit to meet the issue squarely as a challenge and not to hold back. Lets us continually pray that we may be always willing to grow and to keep stepping up on the rungs of God’s ladder of life, helping each other to get to eternal life. Amen. Wishing all of you a blessed week ahead!!
